Ondrej Kmostak – The Bodybuilder Who Loved Motocross

Born and brought up in a motocross racing family, Ondrej Kmostak has a lot to offer. He hails from Frýdek-Místek, Czech Republic, where he has a huge fanbase. He is an IFBB Professional Bodybuilder and sponsored athlete, coveted by many other professionals.

The journey to the top:

Ondrej became a bike rider at a very young age, with a family that promoted sports and motocross. However, at the age of 13, he encountered a tragic accident which made his two forearms futile for 3 months. This accident had roved ‘fatal’ for him and led way to weight lifting to prevent such accidents in the future.

He was infatuated with fitness and training, something he started in an attempt to recover the muscle loss during the accident. This paved way to a serious consideration for bodybuilding as a career at the age of 17, when he realized that he liked bodybuilding more than motocross.

With the help of a few people who informed him about bodybuilding competitions in the country, Ondrej’s obsession with weightlifting had now led to him competing at a national level.

Training Regime and Nutrition:

  • Ondrej has worked extremely hard to acquire the chest he has gained today. He supersets on dumbbells rather than barbells, and focuses on the mind-muscle connection.
  • Then he uses cable workouts to finish his routine. He prefers cable workouts because of the unique tension at the top of movement they offer.
  • He also loves pull ups in bodyweight exercises, including them at the end to burn the muscles he works so hard on.
  • By eating healthy lean meats, he meets his daily macronutrient needs. He focuses on clean meats to meet his protein needs but drinks whey protein drinks to bridge the gap.

The laurels won:

  • Ondrej has provided tough competition in many amateur bodybuilding competitions, earning his name by placing as overall Champion of Czech Republic.
  • He ranked 3rd in Arnold Classic Europe Junior, in 2015. He also won the 2015 BFC Cup and Survival Cup.
  • In 2014, he placed at a respectable 4th place in Olympia Amateur Europe and came second in the Power Pro show in Moscow.
  • He scored 1st as the overall Champion of Diamond Cup Zilina and Olympia Amateur Spain.
  • It’s not long before the king of prestigious Amateur competitions will start earning medals in the professional bodybuilding circuit.
